An Off White Seattle

21 Apr

Just wanted to give a quick thanks and a shout out to Megan Bingham at Off White Makeup and Beauty for her recent blog post on my work with her and her company. I’ve been working with Megan at Off White since  last spring doing makeup and hair for weddings throughout the greater Seattle area and the experience has been awesome. Megan is excellent at what she does, and I really admire her entrepreneurial spirit. Specializing in airbrush makeup we work to make each and every bride look and feel beautiful for their  special day. Each wedding party is so unique; I’ve had a chance to travel and see some great places and meet a lot of different people, each with their own special story.

I can’t wait to get going again this wedding season with Megan. If you want a guarantee you’ll feel beautiful on your wedding day, you know who to call!

Vlog – I’m Back! …Again!

30 Dec

Yes, it’s been quite a while again, but there’s big news and big changes. I’ve got a baby coming along now, and a fresh new start next year. So much excitement, and so much to look forward to.

Photoshoot: Michele Walters

3 Sep

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with an awesome model, Michele Walters, for a long-awaited photoshoot. After much delay and scheduling conflicts we finally got together to do a shoot.
I did her make-up, as well as the photography.

We trekked out to Discovery Park in Seattle, makeup, wardrobe and photography equipment at hand (not to mention my handy reflector-holding boyfriend), and got to working. After doing some hiking we found some sweet locations. One of which was this sandy alcove on the edge of a cliff overlooking the water, it was awesome. Definitely a location to keep in mind for future shoots. Although it was sandy, with the wind whipping hair in our faces, we got some amazing shots and I’m so happy with the outcome.

We did a variety of looks, from summery “At the beach” to magical “Alice in Wonderland”.

Here’s a sneak peak shot from our first location on the sand…

Keep your eyes peeled for more to come.

Here’s to another busy weekend of filming on set of Howard from Ohio! It’s been a busy week, but fun.
Being busy is good, usually.

I’ve got movies on my mind.

Speaking of movies… I was browsing the web last night after I got home and came upon this picture of Harry Potter star Emma Watson.

Looks like she’s taken on a bold new look à la Twiggy.
Being a fan of short-cuts myself, I think she looks great! It’s bold, but a good change for her I think.

Well, gotta hurry up and get ready to leave for set soon! Catch you all later!

From the Vault…

Last week I went to visit good friend and photographer Sean Watson to catch up and peruse some of his photography.
Not too long ago, my external hard drive for my laptop crashed, and although I was able to recover most of my files, many of my photos were unfortunately lost for good.

Sean and I pulled some great images from our past photo shoots together. Some older, some newer, so I thought I would share a few…

Here’s to many more years of shooting with Sean. 🙂

I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me full of filming, traveling, and weddings. I’m excited though.

I love doing makeup.

I’ve got makeup on my mind…

Fashion, Fashion, Fashion.

I want to get creative…

Now that’s some wow factor for ya.
Some day I’ll be this good. 😉

A New Direction – Photo shoot with Craig Thomson

23 Feb

In keeping with my promise to get you up-to-date on my recent adventures and changes, here are some of my favorite images from my photo shoot with Craig Thomson last December.
I did my make-up and hair myself, and Craig and I collaborated on my wardrobe.

I stayed pretty simple with my make-up, I wore a gold smoky eye and natural glossy lips paired with some va-va-voom curls and some newly found attitude.

We shot in a chilly downtown Tacoma, and I think the images turned out beautifully. (The coldness might have even helped!)

I’ve come quite a long way with Craig, and I can’t wait to see what direction we go in the next time we shoot.
